Panambí's Vinicio Evarado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abel Vincente in the 4th minute of play. C. A. INDEPENDIENTE were furious when Paulo Ihazintu was red carded, 5 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The supporters of Panambí booed when C. A. INDEPENDIENTE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulo Ihazintu didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Nestor Guillelme came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Panambí fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nestor Guillelme couldn't finish the play. Mücahit Ergökmen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vinicio Evarado having to interfere. Panambí's Fausto Francho got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Rolando James fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored C. A. INDEPENDIENTE's protests and gave Rolando James a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to C. A. INDEPENDIENTE getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Rolando James hit a great ball. Martin Ascencio kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Ivael Tercero recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice moves Luis Ferdinand could shoot a difficult shot in the 21st minute, which Jose Manuel Pinto however easily saved by the left post. In the 26th match minute, Panambí was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luis Ferdinand to maneuver through the defense. Mücahit Ergökmen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vinicio Evarado having to interfere. Mücahit Ergökmen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jose Manuel Pinto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fausto Francho in the 39th minute. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ivael Tercero was the one to do the kick off. After some careless play in the Panambí defense, Mücahit Ergökmen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vinicio Evarado. The Panambí fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vinicio Evarado should have stopped the shot. Rolando James hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Mücahit Ergökmen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Vinicio Evarado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luis Ferdinand kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Vinicio Evarado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ivael Tercero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fausto Francho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Panambí's Evaristo Lop got a free kick in the 95th minute. C. A. INDEPENDIENTE's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
