In the 88th minute Nestor Chesus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eloy Benet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 91st minute, Salvador Karmel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eloy Benet took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teo Izotz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Argentina walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
