After a defensive mix-up in Cuervo's zone, Evelio Tiadoro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kjell-Arne Falkrans came out of the goal and Evelio Tiadoro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the Cuervo defense, Evelio Tiadoro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kjell-Arne Falkrans. The Cuervo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kjell-Arne Falkrans should have stopped the shot. When Eustacio Frasquito fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cuervo's protests and gave Eustacio Frasquito a yellow card for diving instead. After 73 played minutes Cuervo got a freekick which was hit by Eustacio Frasquito. Severiano Perico sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dalmacio Vincente charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dalmacio Vincente the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Evelio Tiadoro who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 79thth minute tested the skills of Kjell-Arne Falkrans when he managed to save the team from getting behind. CHICAGO FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
