Spectators: 7356 (Terracing: 5518, Seating: 1691, VIP seats: 147) Racing Club's Guido Lonzo started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Racing Club booed when San chunito was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ramon Estefan didn't get a good kick on the ball. 10 minutes into the game, Guido Lonzo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Beto França was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Guido Lonzo in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Beto França saved San chunito from getting behind. In the 15th minute, Dalmacio Mambru hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The throw-in from Artemio Ponciano in the 18th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by San chunito's Santiago Urdaspal. After a rather tough play, Racing Club's Victorio Luke got a free kick in the 19th minute. After 20 played minutes San chunito got a freekick which was hit by Jeronimo Chinto. Beto França took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victorio Luke, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Artemio Ponciano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Beto França having to interfere. 27 minutes into the match, San chunito's goal looked a bit too open when Guido Lonzo came free, but Beto França reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Emiliano Ixidor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Beto França having to interfere. In the 30th minute Jeronimo Chinto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Romeo Abreu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 32 played minutes Racing Club got a freekick which was hit by Roberto Nuxila. Santiago Urdaspal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Romeo Abreu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeronimo Chinto in the 37th minute of play. In the 38th minute Guido Lonzo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Beto França saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Romeo Abreu showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Beto França came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by Racing Club's Victorio Luke. But to his dismay, Victorio Luke quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jeronimo Chinto stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Racing Club getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Victorio Luke hit a great ball. Racing Club's Romeo Abreu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jeronimo Chinto in the 55th minute of play. 71 minutes into the match, San chunito's goal looked a bit too open when Victorio Luke came free, but Beto França reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 74th minute Jeronimo Chinto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Romeo Abreu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. San chunito's Santiago Urdaspal quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Americo Cristofol, made in the 89th minute of the game. Romeo Abreu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jeronimo Chinto, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. If Jeronimo Chinto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 95th minute, Roberto Nuxila hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Racing Club walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
