The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Fabiano Macedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sergio Abarca, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felipe Sidoro in the 14th minute of play forced Naranja AFC's goalkeeper Silvestre Chus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 16 minutes into the game, Evelio Tiadoro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Silvestre Chus was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 19th minute, Felipe Sidoro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Evelio Tiadoro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Silvestre Chus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With his leg Silvestre Chus managed to avoid a goal in the 23rdth minute, when CHICAGO FC's Felipe Sidoro fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Severiano Perico kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Benedicto Locaio during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of CHICAGO FC booed when Naranja AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benedicto Locaio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Silvestre Chus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Evelio Tiadoro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Evelio Tiadoro was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 41st minute. CHICAGO FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Clodoveo Salomone hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Naranja AFC's Ladislao Ekialde couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 46th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for CHICAGO FC. Sergio Abarca's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fabiano Macedo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 49th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The wind increased when Felipe Sidoro made the kick off in the second half. Evelio Tiadoro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Silvestre Chus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Felipe Sidoro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Silvestre Chus was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. Evelio Tiadoro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silvestre Chus having to interfere. If Ovidio Cordarrell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 63rd minute, Naranja AFC's Sergio Abarca ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Fabiano Macedo. Fabiano Macedo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ovidio Cordarrell got free with Fabiano Macedo in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 71 played minutes Naranja AFC got a freekick which was hit by Alejandro Micael. When Felipe Sidoro came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the CHICAGO FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Felipe Sidoro couldn't finish the play. Fabiano Macedo made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Ovidio Cordarrell sent off a good shot on target. If Ovidio Cordarrell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in CHICAGO FC's zone, Ovidio Cordarrell stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fabiano Macedo came out of the goal and Ovidio Cordarrell tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 86 minutes into the game, CHICAGO FC's Felipe Sidoro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Silvestre Chus made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. If Felipe Sidoro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alejandro Micael charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alejandro Micael the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of CHICAGO FC booed when Naranja AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alejandro Micael didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Felipe Sidoro managed to get in a good position for a shot. CHICAGO FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Felipe Sidoro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Silvestre Chus breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Evelio Tiadoro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. For all the effort they put into the match, the Naranja AFC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for CHICAGO FC.
