In the 11th match minute, Fighiera FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ciriaco Orkatz to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as Candido Balasi kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ignacio Ostots. That made the score 1-0 in the 12 minute of play. In the 17thth minute of the game Ivan Ayala who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Milo FC's Hernan Birila was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Milo FC booed when Fighiera FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ciriaco Orkatz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Candido Balasi's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Ignacio Ostots firmly grabbed it by the left post. Fighiera FC's Ignacio Ostots proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Fighiera FC from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Milo FC booed when Fighiera FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Blas Eufrasio didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Candido Balasi made a kick off. In the 55th minute Candido Balasi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ignacio Ostots saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Severiano Beturian recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Fighiera FC's zone, Camilo Hermon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ignacio Ostots came out of the goal and Camilo Hermon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Milo FC's Eddie Irvine got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Eddie Irvine fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ignacio Ostots having to interfere. Whitney Richards scored 3-0 in the 77th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ignacio Ostots, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ignacio Ostots made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Candido Balasi in the 81st minute of play. Candido Balasi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Ignacio Ostots tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Candido Balasi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Candido Balasi couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Eddie Irvine's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ignacio Ostots was relentless in the 97th minute of the game. Milo FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
