An unexpectedly hard shot by Ladislao Monte in the 11th minute of play forced Napostá's goalkeeper Ezequiel Ted to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 17th minute, Eusebio Burutzagi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Napostá fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Napostá's Ezequiel Ted played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ladislao Monte in the 26th minute of play. When Santo Lleir fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Napostá's protests and gave Santo Lleir a yellow card for diving instead. After 35 minutes, Ramon Veto mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Aicuña AFC and the Napostá players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Aicuña AFC getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Efrain Mazuste ran back to his position shaking his head. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eusebio Burutzagi to make the kick off. Ezequiel Ted took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Prudencio Millrick, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eusebio Burutzagi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Amado Liher tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Emiliano Salvadore hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Efrain Mazuste, 64 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. The supporters of Aicuña AFC booed when Napostá was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Segundo Silvanito didn't get a good kick on the ball. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
