In the 17th minute Juan Quirze shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ciriaco Abeijon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ciriaco Abeijon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benigno Kauldi in the 19th minute of the match. Club Deportivo Sánchez's Ciriaco Abeijon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benigno Kauldi in the 27th minute of play. After 28 minutes of play, Trainer AC's Eriberto Servando made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ciriaco Abeijon was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Eriberto Servando had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of Club Deportivo Sánchez booed when Trainer AC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Apolo Gilabert didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Rigoberto Poz came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Club Deportivo Sánchez fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rigoberto Poz couldn't finish the play. When Eriberto Servando came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Trainer AC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eriberto Servando couldn't finish the play. Benigno Kauldi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ciriaco Abeijon having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Club Deportivo Sánchez's zone, Eriberto Servando stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ciriaco Abeijon came out of the goal and Eriberto Servando tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 81 played minutes Club Deportivo Sánchez got a freekick which was hit by Ildefonso Txartiko. Club Deportivo Sánchez's Ciriaco Abeijon proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save Club Deportivo Sánchez from getting a goal against them. Eriberto Servando took the ball and in the 84 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ciriaco Abeijon. Ciriaco Abeijon dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. Benigno Kauldi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ciriaco Abeijon having to interfere.
