Spectators: 7318 (Terracing: 5490, Seating: 1683, VIP seats: 145) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Ulises Basualdo got the match started through his kick off. Osvaldo Johans could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 4th minute of the match, but Celso Kinsen made a huge save. With a little luck, C.A. Luzuriaga's Celso Kinsen got control of the ball when Osvaldo Johans tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Honorato Ortzi during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of C.A. Luzuriaga booed when Atl. San Cristóbal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Honorato Ortzi didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Amador Terciero in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tadeo Eguerdi saved Atl. San Cristóbal from getting behind. Ezequiel Azubeli hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. 26 minutes into the match, C.A. Luzuriaga's goal looked a bit too open when Benito Steven came free, but Celso Kinsen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Celso Kinsen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benito Steven in the 28th minute of play. In the 30th minute, Atl. San Cristóbal's Benito Steven ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Celso Kinsen. Celso Kinsen yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Abelardo Stephen might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tadeo Eguerdi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Abelardo Stephen ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Atl. San Cristóbal's Daniel Eskuin got a free kick in the 38th minute. Tadeo Eguerdi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ulises Basualdo, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Benito Steven to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benito Steven in the 52nd minute of play forced C.A. Luzuriaga's goalkeeper Celso Kinsen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Celso Kinsen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Osvaldo Johans in the 56th minute of the match. When Daniel Eskuin was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 59 minutes had been played. Daniel Eskuin kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Fidel Ciano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tadeo Eguerdi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fidel Ciano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ulises Basualdo got free with Tadeo Eguerdi in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tadeo Eguerdi made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Ezequiel Azubeli sent off a good shot on target. Fidel Ciano was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 74th minute. C.A. Luzuriaga's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 75th minute, Eustaquio Sidoro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Celso Kinsen came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by Atl. San Cristóbal's Erasmo Cordarrell. But to his dismay, Erasmo Cordarrell quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. When the match had gone on for 85 minutes, Ulises Basualdo put it in 2-2 from a short distance just to the right of Tadeo Eguerdi. When Abelardo Stephen fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored C.A. Luzuriaga's protests and gave Abelardo Stephen a yellow card for diving instead. 89 minutes into the match, C.A. Luzuriaga's goal looked a bit too open when Osvaldo Johans came free, but Celso Kinsen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Celso Kinsen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benito Steven in the 90th minute of the match. When Laureano Urdaspal fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored C.A. Luzuriaga's protests and gave Laureano Urdaspal a yellow card for diving instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in C.A. Luzuriaga fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 92nd minute. Penalty! In the 94th minute there was a penalty for Atl. San Cristóbal. Armando Mincho stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Celso Kinsen. 3-2. Tadeo Eguerdi made a fantastic save in the 98th minute, when Ezequiel Azubeli sent off a good shot on target. C.A. Luzuriaga's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
