Thomas Shelby received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Haroldo Piorno tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jeronimo Vela took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gregorio Luix, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Godfredo Tuste charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Godfredo Tuste the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Basail F.C.'s Godfredo Tuste got a free kick in the 13th minute. Donato Rencio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 19 minutes into the match, Donato Rencio notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of El Dique Futbol Club's Haroldo Piorno. Haroldo Piorno was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 24 played minutes Basail F.C. got a freekick which was hit by German Galeno. Haroldo Piorno showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thomas Shelby, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. In the 29th minute, Thomas Shelby got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. El Dique Futbol Club's Amado Mino got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Christian Teodor struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Jeronimo Vela didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for El Dique Futbol Club. Gregorio Luix received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Jeronimo Vela tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Thomas Shelby had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in El Dique Futbol Club's zone, Thomas Shelby stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Haroldo Piorno came out of the goal and Thomas Shelby tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After the first half Basail F.C. were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Thomas Shelby was the one to do the kick off. When Godfredo Tuste came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Basail F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Godfredo Tuste couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gregorio Luix during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 57 played minutes El Dique Futbol Club got a freekick which was hit by Gregorio Luix. Niceto Martino was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 60 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in El Dique Futbol Club fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 59th minute. Penalty! Donato Rencio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Haroldo Piorno tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. El Dique Futbol Club's Christian Teodor got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 71 played minutes Basail F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Rodolfo Jerrold. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christian Teodor in the 74th minute of play forced Basail F.C.'s goalkeeper Jeronimo Vela to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, El Dique Futbol Club's Adolfo Menendo got a free kick in the 75th minute. After 77 minutes of play, Basail F.C.'s Donato Rencio made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Haroldo Piorno was left in no man's land by his defense there! After having played for 81 minutes, Christian Teodor managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. El Dique Futbol Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Christian Teodor was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. El Dique Futbol Club's Silvano Urti suffered a sore thigh after 82 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Rodolfo Jerrold fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Basail F.C.'s protests and gave Rodolfo Jerrold a yellow card for diving instead. After 83 played minutes Basail F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Rodolfo Jerrold. Donato Rencio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Basail F.C. played a much better game than El Dique Futbol Club and deserved their victory. The El Dique Futbol Club players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
