Patagonia's Saturnino Guipuzkoa got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cecilio Seguinus charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cecilio Seguinus the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Cecilio Seguinus hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. In the 24th match minute, Viejo Tom was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mariano Geleberto to maneuver through the defense. If Braulio Bide had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Santos Bingen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marco Gaueko in the 28th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Viejo Tom's Santo Lluis got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The wind increased when Saturnino Guipuzkoa made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Patagonia booed when Viejo Tom was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eustacio Crispo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hernan Berriotxoa scored 1-3 in the 53rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Santos Bingen, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Marco Gaueko showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-4. With a little luck, Viejo Tom's Santos Bingen got control of the ball when Saturnino Guipuzkoa tried to sneak it across the goal line. Viejo Tom's Santos Bingen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marco Gaueko in the 71st minute of play. Hernan Berriotxoa hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Santos Bingen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Braulio Bide, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. 78 minutes in the game, Braulio Bide fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Santos Bingen having to interfere. Viejo Tom's Santos Bingen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save Viejo Tom from getting a goal against them. In the 80th match minute, Viejo Tom was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Santo Lluis to maneuver through the defense.
