In the 21st minute, Saturnino Guipuzkoa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Celestino Txema was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. 26 minutes into the match, FC Goretti's Ambrosio Veremundo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Viktor Kalkanov narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Saturnino Guipuzkoa's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 27thth minute, Celestino Txema skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Viktor Kalkanov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ambrosio Veremundo in the 28th minute of play. After 29 played minutes Braulio Bide rounded FC Goretti's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-0. After 34 minutes of play, Patagonia's Saturnino Guipuzkoa made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Celestino Txema was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 38 played minutes Patagonia got a freekick which was hit by Feliciano Astudillo. 39 minutes into the game, Casimiro Maura cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Viktor Kalkanov was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Ambrosio Veremundo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 44th minute Casimiro Maura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Viktor Kalkanov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Viktor Kalkanov stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Casimiro Maura's shot from short distance in the 45th minute. Celestino Txema showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Braulio Bide in the 46th minute of the match. Angelino Tavio hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

In the 55th minute, Angelino Tavio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in FC Goretti's zone, Saturnino Guipuzkoa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Celestino Txema came out of the goal and Saturnino Guipuzkoa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Angelino Tavio got his second yellow card in the match during the 60th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 61st minute, Angelino Tavio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Braulio Bide scored 4-1 in the 62nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Celestino Txema, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Patagonia booed when FC Goretti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guaberto Koldobika didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Patagonia defense, Ambrosio Veremundo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Viktor Kalkanov. The Patagonia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Viktor Kalkanov should have stopped the shot. After 70 minutes, Danilo Eusko mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Goretti and the Patagonia players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 70 played minutes FC Goretti got a freekick which was hit by Danilo Eusko. Viktor Kalkanov was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ambrosio Veremundo showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 4-3 in the 75 minute of play. If Braulio Bide had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ambrosio Veremundo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 81stth minute tested the skills of Viktor Kalkanov when he managed to save the team from getting behind. With his leg Viktor Kalkanov managed to avoid a goal in the 86thth minute, when FC Goretti's Ambrosio Veremundo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 87th match minute, Patagonia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Feliciano Astudillo to maneuver through the defense. Jonas Gonsalve's late challenge caught a Patagonia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
