Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Astor Eyague kicked off to start the match. Astor Eyague received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. German Lizbeth tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Elvio Viviano during the 10th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 9th minute of the game. One of Newells:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Mandaloria:s goal. In the 11th minute there was a penalty for Mandaloria. Everardo Columbo stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving German Lizbeth. 0-1. Newells's German Lizbeth played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Astor Eyague in the 15th minute of play. In the 16th minute, Santiago Perrando hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Astor Eyague's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but German Lizbeth was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. German Lizbeth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Astor Eyague in the 24th minute of play. In the 26th minute, Haroldo Lucado made a precise shot to the right of Marcial Araoz. Mandaloria's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. After 29 played minutes Newells got a freekick which was hit by Santiago Perrando. Newells's Guillermo Dimo managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Arkadiusz Biegun in the 32 minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Everardo Columbo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mandaloria's supporters rose to their feet, but Everardo Columbo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. German Lizbeth breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mandaloria's Rosendo Benitez suffered a concussion in the 34th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. After 34 minutes, Jonas Policarpio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Newells and the Mandaloria players grew even worse after the yellow card. Mandaloria made a substitution. Roque Flores replaced Rosendo Benitez. In the 35th match minute, Newells was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonas Policarpio to maneuver through the defense. After 36 played minutes Newells got a freekick which was hit by Elvio Viviano. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yoel Ariztimuño in the 37th minute of play forced Newells's goalkeeper German Lizbeth to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 1-2 became the score in the 39th minute when Astor Eyague elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Santiago Perrando to make the kick off. When Newells's Santiago Perrando in the 52nd minute got a chance for a shot 52nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Mandaloria's goalie prevented a goal. Guillermo Dimo's late challenge caught a Mandaloria's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Guillermo Dimo helped the player get up and apologised. In the 55th minute, Guillermo Dimo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 59 minutes, Astor Eyague took a quick shot and it went in 1-4 without a chance for German Lizbeth to make any attempt to save it. In the 63rd minute Santiago Perrando shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcial Araoz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Yoel Ariztimuño kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving German Lizbeth. That made the score 1-5 in the 65 minute of play. Julio Ortzi scored 2-5 in the 70th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcial Araoz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. German Lizbeth came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by Mandaloria's Yoel Ariztimuño. But to his dismay, Yoel Ariztimuño quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-6. In the 80th match minute, Newells was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Santiago Perrando to maneuver through the defense. The referee felt a red card was in order, 82 minutes into the game, when Elvio Viviano put in a rough tackle. In a very dangerous position, a player in Newells fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 81st minute. Penalty! Everardo Columbo shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Newells's German Lizbeth played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Astor Eyague in the 86th minute of play. German Lizbeth took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Astor Eyague, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With an all-out effort, Mandaloria's German Lizbeth threw himself towards the right post 91 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Astor Eyague, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 93rd minute, Astor Eyague got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Newells getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Rogelio Ieltxu hit a great ball. With a little luck, Newells's German Lizbeth got control of the ball when Everardo Columbo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mandaloria played a much better game than Newells and deserved their victory. The Newells players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
