Benito Aballe helped the player get up and apologised. After 16 played minutes Viejo Tom got a freekick which was hit by Benito Aballe. If Eustacio Crispo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 23 minutes into the game, Mariano Geleberto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Viejo Tom's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Goretti the free kick. The supporters of FC Goretti booed when Viejo Tom was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mariano Geleberto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Celestino Txema showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eustacio Crispo in the 26th minute of the match. FC Goretti's Celestino Txema played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cecilio Seguinus in the 27th minute of play. In the 27th match minute, FC Goretti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cipriano Jaume to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in FC Goretti's zone, Benito Aballe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Celestino Txema came out of the goal and Benito Aballe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Guaberto Koldobika charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Guaberto Koldobika the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Santos Bingen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Danilo Eusko in the 43rd minute of the match. Cipriano Jaume hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Danilo Eusko to make the kick off. Ovidio Victoro charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ovidio Victoro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In a very dangerous position, a player in FC Goretti fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 50th minute. Penalty! Mark Dick blasted a shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Celestino Txema having to make a save. Cecilio Seguinus took the ball and in the 62 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Celestino Txema. Celestino Txema dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. During the 68th minute of the match Guaberto Koldobika completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Guaberto Koldobika a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 69th match minute, FC Goretti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guaberto Koldobika to maneuver through the defense. Freddy Egoi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Celestino Txema having to interfere. Santos Bingen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Casimiro Maura, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Viejo Tom's Santos Bingen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Casimiro Maura in the 84th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eustacio Crispo in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Celestino Txema saved FC Goretti from getting behind. A collision led to FC Goretti getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Angelino Tavio hit a great ball. Casimiro Maura fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Santos Bingen having to interfere. Viejo Tom played a much better game than FC Goretti and deserved their victory. The FC Goretti players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
