Real Mollejas's Rodolfo Ekaitz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benito Ceandro in the 18th minute of play. In the 21st minute, Jaime Valentine ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rodolfo Ekaitz was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Rodolfo Ekaitz came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by La Mervaleta's Victorio Bemabe. But to his dismay, Victorio Bemabe quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. In a very dangerous position, a player in Real Mollejas fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 32nd minute. Penalty! The referee gave La Mervaleta a penalty, 35 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Adrian Lucila, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Real Mollejas's Rodolfo Ekaitz. 0-5. A collision led to La Mervaleta getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Geronimo Maule hit a great ball. Rodolfo Ekaitz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jaime Valentine in the 46th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Antonio Marino was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 77 played minutes La Mervaleta got a freekick which was hit by Benito Ceandro. When Adrian Lucila fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. When the final whistle sounded La Mervaleta left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Real Mollejas.
