He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Tolkien Fútbol Club reached it. In the 47th match minute, Defensores de Flores was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emilio Cugat to maneuver through the defense. The Tolkien Fútbol Club players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Defensores de Flores were winning 1-2.

Albino Hanots short, quick shot in the 53rdth minute got Inocencio Paz to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Defensores de Flores's Witalis Hodas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mauricio Duardo in the 59th minute of play. Witalis Hodas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rodrigo Llorenc, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Witalis Hodas came out of the goal in the 66th minute to try and stop a shot by Tolkien Fútbol Club's Mauricio Duardo. But to his dismay, Mauricio Duardo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Tolkien Fútbol Club's Inocencio Paz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Tolkien Fútbol Club from getting a goal against them. 71 minutes into the game, Defensores de Flores's Florencio Gorosti nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Inocencio Paz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. In the 88th minute, Gervasio Pagomari ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Inocencio Paz was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-5. Astor Etxahun kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. The Defensores de Flores supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Defensores de Flores would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
