Spectators: 7306 (Terracing: 5481, Seating: 1680, VIP seats: 145) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Jacinto Mogel got the match started through his kick off. After a rather tough play, RC Celta de Vigo's Dalmacio Sanchez got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Anibal Erramu was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 8th minute. Ranquilón's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Leonel Oier took the ball and in the 12 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alfredo Froila. Alfredo Froila dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Melchor Lizer made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jacinto Mogel in the 28th minute. In the 32nd minute Leandro Maiorga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfredo Froila saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jacinto Mogel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Jacinto Mogel came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Ranquilón fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jacinto Mogel couldn't finish the play. 45 minutes into the game, one of RC Celta de Vigo:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Melchor Lizer went to the wrong direction when Jacinto Mogel was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Leonel Oier was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Ranquilón booed when RC Celta de Vigo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dalmacio Sanchez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ranquilón were furious when Franco Spada was red carded, 60 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 60th minute, Franco Spada hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Melchor Lizer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jacinto Mogel in the 64th minute of the match. Anibal Erramu might have been able to make a better finish in the 66th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Melchor Lizer. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Anibal Erramu ran back to his position shaking his head. Jacinto Mogel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Melchor Lizer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Christian Lidon got free with Alfredo Froila in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacinto Mogel in the 81st minute of play forced RC Celta de Vigo's goalkeeper Melchor Lizer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The attack was good, but when Jacinto Mogel in the 83rd minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. In the 85th minute Jacinto Mogel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Melchor Lizer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jacinto Mogel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 88th play minutes Jacinto Mogel shot 1-1, a short shot which went by Melchor Lizer and just under the crossbar into goal. If Anibal Erramu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in RC Celta de Vigo's zone, Jacinto Mogel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Melchor Lizer came out of the goal and Jacinto Mogel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
