After 4 played minutes Olayon Futbol Club CDE got a freekick which was hit by Flavio Cresconio. After 10 minutes, Edelmiro Umbruso mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hongo FC and the Olayon Futbol Club CDE players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 10th minute, Edelmiro Umbruso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Valentin Tome received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Horacio Lartaun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Maximo Aimar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Horacio Lartaun made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Maximo Aimar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hongo FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Maximo Aimar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Horacio Lartaun breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 20th minute, Iker Felo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 23 minutes, Maximo Aimar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hongo FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Maximo Aimar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hector Hodei showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ladislao Erlantz in the 26th minute of the match. Olayon Futbol Club CDE's Bonifacio Vito got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Hongo FC's zone, Bonifacio Vito stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hector Hodei came out of the goal and Bonifacio Vito tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 41st minute, Maximo Aimar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Matias Salvidor kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match.

After 51 minutes of play Hongo FC's Edelmiro Umbruso was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After a rather tough play, Hongo FC's Edelmiro Umbruso got a free kick in the 51st minute. Horacio Lartaun didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Maximo Aimar went, in the 58th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. In the 69th minute, Olayon Futbol Club CDE's Lorenzo Hitz ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Hector Hodei. Hector Hodei yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Maximo Aimar during the 74th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Maximo Aimar kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. After having played for 75 minutes, Maximo Aimar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hongo FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Maximo Aimar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 79th minute, Ladislao Erlantz reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Hector Hodei. The goal made the score 1-2.
