Oscar Veto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guillermo Sansone, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Guillermo Sansone fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oscar Veto having to interfere. In the 30th minute Osvaldo Fanuco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oscar Veto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 32 minutes, Osvaldo Fanuco made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Palca FC's Oscar Veto tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 40th match minute, Racing Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Octavio Endira to maneuver through the defense. Oscar Veto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guillermo Sansone in the 43rd minute of play. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Osvaldo Fanuco was the one to do the kick off. Palca FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Racing Club the free kick. The Palca FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Racing Club were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
