The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A sloppy throw-in by Pascual Lluques in the 6th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Deportivo Victoriano's Ariel Goyo. Basilio Erdiano blasted a shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Doyle Forrest having to make a save. After a defensive mix-up in Equipo Abandonado's zone, Basilio Erdiano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Doyle Forrest came out of the goal and Basilio Erdiano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 18 minutes into the match, Danila Levashevich notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Equipo Abandonado's Doyle Forrest. Doyle Forrest was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Basilio Erdiano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Deportivo Victoriano's Silvestre Mederi got control of the ball when Bonifacio Asteri tried to sneak it across the goal line. Bonifacio Asteri scored 1-1 in the 27th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Silvestre Mederi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 30 minutes, Danila Levashevich mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Deportivo Victoriano and the Equipo Abandonado players grew even worse after the yellow card. Silvestre Mederi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 39th minute of the match, Bonifacio Asteri got a very nice opportunity to score, but Silvestre Mederi was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Doyle Forrest made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Basilio Erdiano in the 41st minute of play. Silvestre Mederi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teodoro Orland, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Silvestre Mederi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bonifacio Asteri in the 44th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Teodoro Orland got free with Silvestre Mederi in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Silvestre Mederi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pascual Lluques in the 47th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The wind increased when Bonifacio Asteri made the kick off in the second half. Silvestre Mederi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teodoro Orland in the 58th minute of play. Deportivo Victoriano's supporters crossed their fingers, but Danila Levashevich was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Doyle Forrest was a little too slow when Basilio Erdiano got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 85th minute. The score was now 3-2. The supporters of Equipo Abandonado booed when Deportivo Victoriano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ariel Goyo didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jaime Francho in the 89th minute of play forced Deportivo Victoriano's goalkeeper Silvestre Mederi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 91 minutes into the match, Edgard Quinto had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Silvestre Mederi. Deportivo Victoriano's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edgard Quinto was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-2. Despite close surveillance by the defense, Ariel Goyo managed to send off a shot that put the ball into the goal to the left of a disappointed goalkeeper. 4-3 in the 95th minute. Equipo Abandonado's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
