An unexpectedly hard shot by Godfredo Nalo in the 43rd minute of play forced Deportivo Victoriano's goalkeeper Silvestre Mederi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 45 minutes, Godfredo Nalo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Arroyito's supporters crossed their fingers, but Godfredo Nalo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

The Deportivo Victoriano players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
