Spectators: 6697 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1697, VIP seats: 0) Erasmo Bartolome started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Sarmiento's Virgilio Benvido played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erasmo Bartolome in the 4th minute of play. When Paolo Farias fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sarmiento's protests and gave Paolo Farias a yellow card for diving instead. After 9 played minutes Sarmiento got a freekick which was hit by Paolo Farias. Ulises Clemencin was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 10th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Rosario's Gonzalo Muc got a free kick in the 11th minute. The long shot by Alvaro Domeka in the 15th minute really tested Virgilio Benvido's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Anier Totakoxe in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alfredo Marques saved Rosario from getting behind. When Nikolaus Türk came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Sarmiento fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nikolaus Türk couldn't finish the play. In the 26th minute, Patricio Tipi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sarmiento's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Nikolaus Türk in the 29th minute. Igor Umea was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. 30 minutes into the match, Rosario's goal looked a bit too open when Edgardo Cristofor came free, but Alfredo Marques reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Donato Saturnin hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. In the 35th minute, Patricio Tipi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alfredo Marques was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Anier Totakoxe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfredo Marques having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Donato Saturnin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Virgilio Benvido was relentless in the 45th minute of the game. After 45th play minutes Donato Saturnin shot 1-1, a short shot which went by Virgilio Benvido and just under the crossbar into goal. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Anier Totakoxe struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Alfredo Marques didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sarmiento. Alfredo Marques stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Anier Totakoxe's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. Alfredo Marques took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anier Totakoxe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 60 played minutes Rosario got a freekick which was hit by Donato Saturnin. Anier Totakoxe's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alfredo Marques read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Rosario's zone, German Lucila stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alfredo Marques came out of the goal and German Lucila tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 65 minutes into the match, Erasmo Bartolome had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Virgilio Benvido. Sarmiento's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Erasmo Bartolome was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. In the 71st minute, Anier Totakoxe reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Alfredo Marques. The goal made the score 2-2. Sarmiento's Feliciano Fidele was substituted for Eustaquio Presebal. The audience was convinced that Ovidio Bermund's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alfredo Marques was relentless in the 76th minute of the game. In the 78th minute, Ovidio Bermund got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 89th match minute, Rosario was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eleuterio Barros to maneuver through the defense. When Sarmiento's Ovidio Bermund in the 93rd minute got a chance for a shot 93rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Rosario's goalie prevented a goal. When Ovidio Bermund, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 95 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Alfredo Marques was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Despite being the better team, Sarmiento failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
