Spectators: 7326 (Terracing: 5496, Seating: 1685, VIP seats: 145) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Jairo Nastasio got the match started through his kick off. When Tomas Gabrio fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Reartes's protests and gave Tomas Gabrio a yellow card for diving instead. After 5 played minutes Reartes got a freekick which was hit by Tomas Gabrio. In the 7th minute, Mattia Scarpone hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bruno Goizeder recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 22nd minute, Ernesto Servando ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Generoso Galtero was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomas Gabrio got free with Edison Smoothy in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Diego Vela was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. After 42 minutes, Feliberto Locaio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Orlando Pirates and the Reartes players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Orlando Pirates getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Feliberto Locaio hit a great ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bruno Goizeder to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Reartes's goalkeeper Generoso Galtero, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Bruno Goizeder sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Teodosio Henry kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. After having played for 63 minutes, Jairo Nastasio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Reartes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jairo Nastasio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ruben Tolino kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. In the 75th minute, Bruno Goizeder got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Reartes's Diego Vela got a free kick in the 80th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Bruno Goizeder kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Generoso Galtero. That made the score 0-2 in the 84 minute of play. Orlando Pirates's Marcelino Raphael was responsible for 0-3 with a brilliant performance in the 94th minute when he, by himself, got past the opponents defense and with a quick shot sent the ball into the goal to the left of Generoso Galtero. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Orlando Pirates had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
