Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Timbues FC's Silverio Belarmo started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Serafino Aurre kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Deportivo Santa Gilda's Pablo Txema got a free kick in the 6th minute. Carlos Ayala took the ball and in the 8 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alejo Inguma. Alejo Inguma dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. The supporters of Deportivo Santa Gilda booed when Timbues FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roberto Horado didn't get a good kick on the ball. 11 minutes into the match, Carlos Ayala had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alejo Inguma. Timbues FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Carlos Ayala was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Timbues FC's Alejo Inguma proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Timbues FC from getting a goal against them. Serafino Aurre kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. After 21 played minutes Deportivo Santa Gilda got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Ayala. Serafino Aurre took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 24th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Lino Mazza. Deportivo Santa Gilda's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Placido Teofilio kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Alejo Inguma stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Carlos Ayala's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. In the 31st match minute, Timbues FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roberto Horado to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Serafino Aurre during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 36th minute, Carlos Ayala got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Carlos Ayalas short, quick shot in the 47thth minute got Alejo Inguma to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When the match had gone on for 47 minutes, Carlos Ayala put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Alejo Inguma. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Carlos Ayala was the one to do the kick off. Carlos Ayala sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Kryspin Topolski fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Deportivo Santa Gilda's protests and gave Kryspin Topolski a yellow card for diving instead. Timbues FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Siro Isauro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Deportivo Santa Gilda's Carlos Ayala got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Carlos Ayala received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Alejo Inguma tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 95 minutes into the match, Deportivo Santa Gilda's goalkeeper Lino Mazza had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Melquiades Chepe.
