The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 5 minutes into the game, Osvaldo Baudelio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Alejandro Naelio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 8th minute, The Lawyers's Osvaldo Baudelio ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Alejandro Naelio. Alejandro Naelio yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. Fabricio Rocio took the ball and in the 13 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eriberto Nicholas. Eriberto Nicholas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Inocencio Fernandes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 28th minute, The Lawyers's Jonatan Calixto dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-1. Osvaldo Baudelio came free with the goalkeeper in the 33rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Alejandro Naelio could save by the left post. Eriberto Nicholas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ubaldo Favila in the 34th minute of play. 37 minutes into the match, Club Atlético River's goal looked a bit too open when Felipe Ixidor came free, but Alejandro Naelio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Osvaldo Baudelio got free with Alejandro Naelio in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Club Atlético River booed when The Lawyers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Higinio Argina didn't get a good kick on the ball. Club Atlético River's Fabricio Rocio got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to The Lawyers getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Anselmo Hulberto hit a great ball. Fabricio Rocio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alejandro Naelio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felipe Ixidor in the 47th minute of the match.

Alejandro Naelio came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by The Lawyers's Osvaldo Baudelio. But to his dismay, Osvaldo Baudelio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. Alejandro Naelio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Osvaldo Baudelio went, in the 58th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-1 was the resulting score. In the 61st minute, Club Atlético River's Inocencio Fernandes ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Eriberto Nicholas. Eriberto Nicholas yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 5-2. In the 64th match minute, Club Atlético River was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcelo Veremundo to maneuver through the defense. Eriberto Nicholas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Inocencio Fernandes, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felipe Ixidor in the 67th minute of play forced Club Atlético River's goalkeeper Alejandro Naelio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of The Lawyers booed when Club Atlético River was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ubaldo Favila didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eriberto Nicholas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Inocencio Fernandes, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Osvaldo Baudelio scored 7-2 in the 80th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alejandro Naelio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Alejandro Naelio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Osvaldo Baudelio in the 84th minute of the match. A collision led to Club Atlético River getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Ubaldo Favila hit a great ball. 90 minutes into the match, Ramiro Sazon notched a goal, 8-2, to the right of Club Atlético River's Alejandro Naelio. Alejandro Naelio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some careless play in the Club Atlético River defense, Osvaldo Baudelio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alejandro Naelio. The Club Atlético River fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alejandro Naelio should have stopped the shot. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. The Lawyers fully deserved thier win.
