After 14 played minutes Ombucto FC got a freekick which was hit by Silvestre Magdaleno. After having played for 15 minutes, Fabricio Rocio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Atlético River's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fabricio Rocio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alejandro Naelio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aaron Hernandez, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Froilan Dimas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Inocencio Fernandes to strike the kick off in the second half. Club Atlético River's Fabricio Rocio got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 54th minute, Froilan Dimas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Club Atlético River fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Angel Tajo in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcelino Criston prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 67th minute Inocencio Fernandes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelino Criston saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Fabricio Rocio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marcelino Criston was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. Marcelino Criston stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Inocencio Fernandes's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. Fabricio Rocio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marcelino Criston showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Froilan Dimas in the 78th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabricio Rocio in the 84th minute of play forced Ombucto FC's goalkeeper Marcelino Criston to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcelo Veremundo hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Angel Tajo took the ball and in the 96 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marcelino Criston. Marcelino Criston dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Club Atlético River fully deserved thier win.
