With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alejo Inguma prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Fabricio Rocio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Alejo Inguma tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Angel Tajo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A hard shot 26 in the game by Fabricio Rocio from a close distance when the talented Alejo Inguma managed to make a qualified save. Fabricio Rocio didn't get a good kick on the ball. 40 minutes into the match, Melquiades Chepe had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alejandro Naelio. Club Atlético River's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Melquiades Chepe was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Silverio Belarmo to make the kick off.
