Spectators: 6600 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 100) Stephenson's Pedro Nevada started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd match minute, Stephenson was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cipriano Montrel to maneuver through the defense. In the 4th minute of the match Yanick Roofhoof sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Benjamin Pelayo skillfully saved the ball. After some careless play in the Stephenson defense, Feliciano Aimar kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benjamin Pelayo. The Stephenson fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benjamin Pelayo should have stopped the shot. Santo Lauro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benjamin Pelayo having to interfere. Stephenson's Cipriano Montrel got his second yellow card of the match in the 17th minute. The referee ordered Cipriano Montrel off the ground. Benjamin Pelayo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yanick Roofhoof in the 18th minute of play. After 20 minutes of play, C.A.Lanús's Feliciano Aimar made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benjamin Pelayo was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience was convinced that Santo Lauro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benjamin Pelayo was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. Stephenson's Pedro Nevada got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A sloppy throw-in by Amador Lauren in the 35th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Stephenson's Primitivo Santio. When Primitivo Santio came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Stephenson fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Primitivo Santio couldn't finish the play. Maximino Frans charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Maximino Frans the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Maximino Frans hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. After 41 played minutes, C.A.Lanús's Yanick Roofhoof shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Benjamin Pelayo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in C.A.Lanús reached it. In the 43rd match minute, C.A.Lanús was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amador Lauren to maneuver through the defense. Santo Lauro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

Julio Gorbea made in the 55th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Stephenson's Primitivo Santio. After 55 minutes of play, Stephenson's Pedro Nevada made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jérémy Bougeard was left in no man's land by his defense there! Pedro Nevada sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Benjamin Pelayo made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Santo Lauro sent off a good shot on target. In the 65th minute, Feliciano Aimar left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The C.A.Lanús fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. Stephenson's Pedro Nevada got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 73rd minute, C.A.Lanús's Santo Lauro dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-5. Julio Gorbea made in the 81st minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Feliciano Aimar. If Yanick Roofhoof had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benjamin Pelayo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Feliciano Aimar, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Stephenson's defense didn't have a chance, in the 84th minute, when Yanick Roofhoof scored to the left of an out of position Benjamin Pelayo, making the score, 1-6. Benjamin Pelayo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Yanick Roofhoof in the 87th minute. After 88 played minutes C.A.Lanús got a freekick which was hit by Santo Lauro. Stephenson's Benjamin Pelayo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yanick Roofhoof in the 96th minute of play.
