Spectators: 7500 (Terracing: 5625, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 150) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Marcos Berdaitz started the match with the kick off. Ulises Celio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abelardo Barrionuevo in the 4th minute of play. The supporters of Palermo FC booed when El Huemul was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcos Berdaitz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Segundo Bermudez scored 1-0 in the 6th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Astor Oto, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the match had gone on for 11 minutes, Segundo Bermudez put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Astor Oto. Segundo Bermudez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Astor Oto made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Segundo Bermudez sent off a good shot on target. 20 minutes into the match, Segundo Bermudez had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Astor Oto. El Huemul's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Segundo Bermudez was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. After having played for 30 minutes, Segundo Bermudez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Palermo FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Segundo Bermudez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Palermo FC's Gregorio Aragones got a free kick in the 31st minute. With a little luck, El Huemul's Astor Oto got control of the ball when Segundo Bermudez tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Virgilio Eder fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored El Huemul's protests and gave Virgilio Eder a yellow card for diving instead. Ciro Araoz kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. In the 44th minute, Marcos Berdaitz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 46 minutes into the game, Tomás Fidele recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Astor Oto. Tomás Fidele showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 5-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 5-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Segundo Bermudez was the one to do the kick off. In the 51stth minute of the game Segundo Bermudez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but El Huemul's Astor Oto was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 57th play minutes Tomás Fidele shot 6-0, a short shot which went by Astor Oto and just under the crossbar into goal. After 61 minutes, Tomás Fidele made it 7-0 with a short kick to the right side. El Huemul's Astor Oto tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. If Tomás Fidele had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After having played for 67 minutes, Tomás Fidele managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Palermo FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomás Fidele was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 73 played minutes El Huemul got a freekick which was hit by Fidel Maxin. In the 83rd minute, Segundo Bermudez left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Palermo FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 9-0. Astor Oto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Segundo Bermudez, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. After 92 minutes, Filiberto Casomiro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Palermo FC and the El Huemul players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Palermo FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while El Huemul had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
