The Independiente Futbol Club fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Zeledon Urbasa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 29th minute, Alexandre Marinho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 32 minutes into the match, LOS NINJAS FUTBOL CLUB's goal looked a bit too open when Gaudencio Cuarto came free, but Salvador Bartolome reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 38 played minutes Independiente Futbol Club got a freekick which was hit by Leonides Mederi. If Zeledon Urbasa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to LOS NINJAS FUTBOL CLUB getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Santiago Ignatius hit a great ball. Orlando Perfecto charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The wind increased when Paulino Sugar made the kick off in the second half. After having played for 63 minutes, Alexandre Marinho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. LOS NINJAS FUTBOL CLUB's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alexandre Marinho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 66 minutes into the match, Independiente Futbol Club's goal looked a bit too open when Paulino Sugar came free, but Fulgencio Goren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Independiente Futbol Club's Fulgencio Goren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexandre Marinho in the 67th minute of play. Fulgencio Goren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victorino Ourente, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 72 minutes into the match, LOS NINJAS FUTBOL CLUB's goalkeeper Salvador Bartolome had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Orlando Perfecto.
