When the match clock showed 36 minutes, the score became 0-5 when Pepe Sand sped through Banfield's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Andreas Soltveit. Faustino Sayveon scored 0-6 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Andreas Soltveit, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 44 minutes into the game, Pucará's Pepe Sand nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Andreas Soltveit made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-7. Disappointed in the 0-7 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pepe Sand to make the kick off. Julian Florian hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Banfield's Andreas Soltveit proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Banfield from getting a goal against them. The crowd rose to their feet as Dario Artizar kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Andreas Soltveit. That made the score 0-8 in the 54 minute of play. In the 68th match minute, Pucará was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Faustino Sayveon to maneuver through the defense. In the 74th match minute, Banfield was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leopoldo Fortun to maneuver through the defense. In the 75th minute of the match Basilio Bertran sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Andreas Soltveit skillfully saved the ball. The long shot by Basilio Bertran in the 87th minute really tested Andreas Soltveit's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Andreas Soltveit made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Tomás Belmonte sent off a good shot on target. With his leg Andreas Soltveit managed to avoid a goal in the 90thth minute, when Pucará's Dario Artizar fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 92nd minute, Franco Orozco reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Andreas Soltveit. The goal made the score 0-10. Andreas Soltveit showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Franco Orozco in the 96th minute of the match. The Banfield fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Pucará were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
