Agustin Raymundo came out of the goal and Jürgen Klinsmann tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Agustin Raymundo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Clis Comas went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Teodosio Lop made in the 24th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Esteve Tebaldo however managed to control. An unexpectedly hard shot by Troizen Von Bischhoffshausen in the 27th minute of play forced Voluntad AFC's goalkeeper Agustin Raymundo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Rayo Vallecano.'s Fulgencio Quico tried to score from far away in the 29th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Esteve Tebaldo kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. 31 minutes into the match, Voluntad AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Jürgen Klinsmann came free, but Agustin Raymundo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Voluntad AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Agustin Raymundo should have stopped the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Isaias Sal was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st match minute, Voluntad AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Esteve Tebaldo to maneuver through the defense. Rayo Vallecano.'s attentive Mike Ness managed to snatch the ball when Russel Carbery made a throw-in in the 53rd minute of the game. Troizen Von Bischhoffshausen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Agustin Raymundo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. Mike Ness struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Agustin Raymundo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rayo Vallecano.. When Jürgen Klinsmann fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rayo Vallecano.'s protests and gave Jürgen Klinsmann a yellow card for diving instead. Jürgen Klinsmann hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. If Gaspar Ayala had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Voluntad AFC's Gaspar Ayala got a free kick in the 63rd minute. In the 64thth minute of the game Jürgen Klinsmann who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Voluntad AFC's Agustin Raymundo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Agustin Raymundo made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Clis Comas sent off a good shot on target. Troizen Von Bischhoffshausen was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 68th minute. Rayo Vallecano.'s manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Thanks to some nice moves Clis Comas could shoot a difficult shot in the 70th minute, which Agustin Raymundo however easily saved by the left post. Agustin Raymundo made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Clis Comas sent off a good shot on target. In the 80th minute Jürgen Klinsmann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Agustin Raymundo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jürgen Klinsmann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Agustin Raymundo having to interfere. Agustin Raymundo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jürgen Klinsmann in the 94th minute of the match. Troizen Von Bischhoffshausen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the final whistle sounded Rayo Vallecano. left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Voluntad AFC.
