In the 74th minute, Florida's Generoso Figueroa ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Walmir Loureiro. In the 78th minute of the match Generoso Figueroa sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Walmir Loureiro skillfully saved the ball. Geovanni Peres took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ronaldo Riells, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Florida eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
