Franciszek Trzenzalski who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 16thth minute tested the skills of Isaias Bastia when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 20 minutes into the match, Florida's goal looked a bit too open when Abelardo Olivar came free, but Geovanni Peres reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Sebastián Penco fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Florida's protests and gave Sebastián Penco a yellow card for diving instead. Florida's Geovanni Peres played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filiberto Gartzi in the 44th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Filiberto Gartzi during the 47th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Emilio Galo was the one to do the kick off. Sebastián Penco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sebastián Penco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Ivan Evrov fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Florida's protests and gave Ivan Evrov a yellow card for diving instead. Isaias Bastia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Florida. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Florida had played much better football throughout.
