Rodrigo Cidro ran back to his position shaking his head. When Ronaldo Riells came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Corsarios del Sur fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ronaldo Riells couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Piñero AFC booed when Corsarios del Sur was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eliseo Selmo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ronaldo Riells in the 70th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hipolito Ponciano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 73 minutes of play Piñero AFC's Patricio Iratze was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. When the match had gone on for 86 minutes, Ronaldo Riells took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Hipolito Ponciano to make any attempt to save it. When the match was over Corsarios del Sur could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Piñero AFC throughout the match.
