In the 12th match minute, Canque AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Simon Ebardo to maneuver through the defense. Özgür Akbulut received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Anacleto Quintana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Canque AFC booed when Saldungaray FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bo Ludas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Anacleto Quintana was a little too slow when Özgür Akbulut got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 18th minute. The score was now 1-1. 21 minutes into the match, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Canque AFC's Anacleto Quintana. Anacleto Quintana was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of Saldungaray FC booed when Canque AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fermin Ignatius didn't get a good kick on the ball. Canque AFC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 28th minute, when Özgür Akbulut scored to the left of an out of position Anacleto Quintana, making the score, 3-1. 31 minutes into the game, Aquilino Rafe was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Canque AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Saldungaray FC the free kick. In the 38th minute, Fermin Ignatius hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Canque AFC defense, Özgür Akbulut kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Anacleto Quintana. The Canque AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Anacleto Quintana should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fermin Ignatius in the 44th minute of play forced Saldungaray FC's goalkeeper Neto Volpi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Karl-Heinz Rummenigge to strike the kick off in the second half. Claudio Eleder tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Anacleto Quintana. An unnecessary self made goal, 6-1 in the 53rd minute. In the 58th minute, Victoriano Madaleno hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Neto Volpi made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Fermin Ignatius sent off a good shot on target. When the match had gone on for 59 minutes, Fermin Ignatius took a quick shot and it went in 6-2 without a chance for Neto Volpi to make any attempt to save it. Özgür Akbulut fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anacleto Quintana having to interfere. Canque AFC's Anacleto Quintana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karl-Heinz Rummenigge in the 64th minute of play. Anacleto Quintana came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by Saldungaray FC's Özgür Akbulut. But to his dismay, Özgür Akbulut quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-2. In the 77th minute, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Özgür Akbulut came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Saldungaray FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Özgür Akbulut couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Saldungaray FC getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Filomeno Mino hit a great ball. Fermin Ignatius's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 84thth minute, Neto Volpi skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Saldungaray FC were furious when Hernan Rodas was red carded, 92 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Neto Volpi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Reynaldo Steven, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
