An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabio Betadur in the 37th minute of play forced La Guaina FC's goalkeeper Aurel Trică to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 38th minute Constantino Mitxel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lino Fonda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aurel Trică showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfonso Sansone in the 41st minute of the match. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marcial Abeijon helped the player get up and apologised. Le Petard's Hector Lain was substituted for Alfonso Sansone. After 82 played minutes La Guaina FC got a freekick which was hit by Marcial Abeijon. Benito Frisco was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 84 minutes into the match. Maximo Leocadio walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. In the 90th minute Alejo Evis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lino Fonda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Le Petard fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. La Guaina FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
