Beto Bologna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabio Betadur in the 19th minute of play. 23 minutes into the match, Alfonso Sansone had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Beto Bologna. Independiente's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alfonso Sansone was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Beto Bologna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfonso Sansone in the 27th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Conrado Txilar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Independiente's supporters rose to their feet, but Conrado Txilar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lino Fonda breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 33rd minute, Fabio Betadur left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Le Petard fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. If 何悦康 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. Lino Fonda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from 何悦康 in the 59th minute of the match. 60 minutes into the match, Zeledon Hulberto notched a goal, 1-4, to the right of Le Petard's Lino Fonda. Lino Fonda was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Fabio Betadur had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute.
