Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Ivan Cordairo kicked off to start the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marcial Rumaldo got free with Fabian Txindoki in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Club Atlético River Plate getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Lázaro Rioja hit a great ball. Isidro Bladi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gaston Etxeberri stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Roman Witek's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isidro Bladi in the 10th minute of play forced Arocena's goalkeeper Gaston Etxeberri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gaston Etxeberri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ladislao Eleder in the 15th minute of play. Gaston Etxeberri came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by Club Atlético River Plate's Isidro Bladi. But to his dismay, Isidro Bladi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. If Roman Witek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gaston Etxeberri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roman Witek in the 23rd minute of the match. In the 24th minute Roman Witek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gaston Etxeberri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 28 played minutes Arocena got a freekick which was hit by Carolo Aguilera. 31 minutes into the match, Arocena's goal looked a bit too open when Roman Witek came free, but Gaston Etxeberri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Club Atlético River Plate's Fabian Txindoki got control of the ball when Maximo Abascal tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Marcial Rumaldo could shoot a difficult shot in the 33rd minute, which Fabian Txindoki however easily saved by the left post. In the 37th minute of the match, Marcial Rumaldo tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Fabian Txindoki saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Ladislao Eleder recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 43 minutes into the match, Club Atlético River Plate's goalkeeper Fabian Txindoki had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marcial Rumaldo. Isidro Bladi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Roman Witek made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Ladislao Eleder managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Atlético River Plate's supporters rose to their feet, but Ladislao Eleder was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gaston Etxeberri breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Isidro Bladi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Gaston Etxeberri tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gaston Etxeberri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roman Witek, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. After 59 played minutes Arocena got a freekick which was hit by Casimiro Argoitz. In the 64th minute, Club Atlético River Plate's Ladislao Eleder ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Gaston Etxeberri. Gaston Etxeberri yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. In the 71st minute, Club Atlético River Plate's Claude Rohner seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Claude Rohner the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Club Atlético River Plate protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Claude Rohner had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. A collision led to Club Atlético River Plate getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Claude Rohner hit a great ball. Carolo Aguilera sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Fabian Txindoki showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcial Rumaldo in the 74th minute of the match. In the 76th match minute, Arocena was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ruben Aurre to maneuver through the defense. The long shot by Cenap Sabahaddin in the 79th minute really tested Gaston Etxeberri's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Isidro Bladi hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Fabian Txindoki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcial Rumaldo in the 85th minute of play. Roman Witek received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Gaston Etxeberri tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Roman Witek in the 90th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gaston Etxeberri saved Arocena from getting behind. Gaston Etxeberri made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lautaro Nicolas in the 94th minute. In the 94th minute, Gogo Urtungo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gaston Etxeberri was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Roman Witek showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 96 minute of play. The Club Atlético River Plate supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Club Atlético River Plate would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
