In the 4thth minute of the game Ivica Olić who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gonzalez Catan FC's Jimeno Laffitte was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 6th minute of the match Constantino Ishmael shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Higinio Eutropio showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Arnulfo Bihar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Jimeno Laffitte tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 9 minutes into the match, Alberdi de América's Arnulfo Bihar sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jimeno Laffitte narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Higinio Eutropio made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Elvio Misael sent off a good shot on target. If Arnulfo Bihar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 16 minutes, Ruben Argina mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Alberdi de América and the Gonzalez Catan FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 16th match minute, Alberdi de América was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ruben Argina to maneuver through the defense. 18 minutes into the game, Ivica Olić cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Jimeno Laffitte was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Arnulfo Bihar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 30 minutes into the match, Ivica Olić notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Gonzalez Catan FC's Jimeno Laffitte. Jimeno Laffitte was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Alberdi de América made a substitution. Severiano Jurdan replaced Aleksander Majczyk. When Alberdi de América's Ivica Olić in the 35th minute got a chance for a shot 35th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Gonzalez Catan FC's goalie prevented a goal. Ivica Olić took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jimeno Laffitte. Higinio Eutropio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The Gonzalez Catan FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Alberdi de América were winning 1-4.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ivica Olić stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Gonzalez Catan FC's Elvio Misael got a free kick in the 52nd minute. A collision led to Alberdi de América getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Inocencio Paez hit a great ball. 58 minutes into the match, Alberdi de América's Arnulfo Bihar sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jimeno Laffitte narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jimeno Laffitte didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ivica Olić went, in the 59th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-5 was the resulting score. Arnulfo Bihar had several of the Gonzalez Catan FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 63 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-6 score and a disappointed Jimeno Laffitte as he didn't even see the shot coming. Arnulfo Bihar in the 66thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jimeno Laffitte, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 67thth minute of the game Arnulfo Bihar who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gonzalez Catan FC's Jimeno Laffitte was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Ivica Olić's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jimeno Laffitte was relentless in the 70th minute of the game. Jimeno Laffitte made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arnulfo Bihar in the 76th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eriberto Abel during the 79th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 80th minute, Alberdi de América's Ivica Olić ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jimeno Laffitte. Jimeno Laffitte yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-8. When the match had gone on for 92 minutes, Ivica Olić took a quick shot and it went in 1-11 without a chance for Jimeno Laffitte to make any attempt to save it.
