A beautiful save bye ROSARIO CENTRAL's goalie prevented a goal. Braulio Astrada fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zeledon Gar having to interfere. Zeledon Gar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Basilio Nofre in the 11th minute of play. Zeledon Gar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Braulio Astrada in the 13th minute of the match. 15 minutes into the match, ROSARIO CENTRAL's goal looked a bit too open when Braulio Astrada came free, but Zeledon Gar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zeledon Gar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Braulio Astrada in the 16th minute of play. After having played for 20 minutes, Basilio Nofre managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tobuna AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Basilio Nofre was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 23rd minute, Basilio Nofre left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tobuna AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Braulio Astrada struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Zeledon Gar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tobuna AFC. Zeledon Gar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Braulio Astrada, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zeledon Gar came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by Tobuna AFC's Braulio Astrada. But to his dismay, Braulio Astrada quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 34th minute Braulio Astrada shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zeledon Gar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Braulio Astrada blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Zeledon Gar having to make a save. Basilio Nofre sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Basilio Nofre's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Zeledon Gar read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. Braulio Astrada recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Zeledon Gar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Basilio Nofre, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half Tobuna AFC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The ROSARIO CENTRAL fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zeledon Gar should have stopped the shot. When Robustiano Sol fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ROSARIO CENTRAL's protests and gave Robustiano Sol a yellow card for diving instead. In the 74th match minute, Tobuna AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Braulio Astrada to maneuver through the defense. In the 77th minute Braulio Astrada shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zeledon Gar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zeledon Gar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Braulio Astrada, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Basilio Nofre's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 90thth minute, Zeledon Gar skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. An unexpected shot in the 93rd minute by Braulio Astrada got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side.
