Orlando Iratzeder made a fantastic save in the 5th minute, when Santiago Illart sent off a good shot on target. Soda Stereo FC Unplugged's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Gaston Ondino 9 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. Victor Cordeal charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Victor Cordeal the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 15th match minute, Soda Stereo FC Unplugged was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Victor Cordeal to maneuver through the defense. In the 16th minute of the match, Ismael Ixona tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Orlando Iratzeder saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Santiago Romano in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Siro Venceslao saved Progresso from getting behind. After 23 played minutes Soda Stereo FC Unplugged got a freekick which was hit by Evaristo Unai. After 28 played minutes Progresso got a freekick which was hit by Zacarias Cordeiro. Soda Stereo FC Unplugged's Santiago Romano got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Siro Venceslao made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Santiago Romano in the 31st minute of play. After 35 minutes, Santiago Romano made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. Progresso's Siro Venceslao tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Siro Venceslao came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by Soda Stereo FC Unplugged's Santiago Romano. But to his dismay, Santiago Romano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. The audience was convinced that Santiago Romano's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Siro Venceslao was relentless in the 42nd minute of the game.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Santiago Romano was the one to do the kick off. Santiago Romano who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 51stth minute tested the skills of Siro Venceslao when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Santiago Romanos short, quick shot in the 53rdth minute got Siro Venceslao to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Thanks to some nice moves Santiago Romano could shoot a difficult shot in the 60th minute, which Siro Venceslao however easily saved by the left post. In the 61st minute, Higinio Lucila hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Santiago Romano in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Siro Venceslao saved Progresso from getting behind. 64 minutes into the match, Progresso's goal looked a bit too open when Delmiro Lleir came free, but Siro Venceslao reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind Progresso's goalkeeper Siro Venceslao, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Siro Venceslao made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Santiago Romano in the 70th minute of play. Progresso's Gaston Ondino got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 75 minutes, Santiago Romano put it in 1-6 from a short distance just to the right of Siro Venceslao. When the match had gone on for 82 minutes, Santiago Romano put it in 1-7 from a short distance just to the right of Siro Venceslao. 84 minutes into the game, Gaston Ondino was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Progresso's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Soda Stereo FC Unplugged the free kick. After a rather tough play, Progresso's Gaston Ondino got a free kick in the 84th minute. Santiago Romano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Siro Venceslao read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. Siro Venceslao made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Roman Pudes sent off a good shot on target. With his leg Siro Venceslao managed to avoid a goal in the 89thth minute, when Soda Stereo FC Unplugged's Santiago Romano fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Santiago Romano's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 90thth minute, Siro Venceslao skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Siro Venceslao didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Santiago Romano went, in the 93rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-8 was the resulting score. Soda Stereo FC Unplugged's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
