Lun Luna who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 3rdth minute tested the skills of Siro Venceslao when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 4th minute Lun Luna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Siro Venceslao saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lun Luna in the 6th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Siro Venceslao saved Progresso from getting behind. The crowd rose to their feet as Howling Dawn U18's Lun Luna slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Siro Venceslao. That made the score 1-0 after 7 minutes of play. Enzo Shantala took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Santiago Illart, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Camilo Sanchez charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Camilo Sanchez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Camilo Sanchez kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. A hard shot 15 in the game by Lun Luna from a close distance when the talented Siro Venceslao managed to make a qualified save. Progresso's players were relieved. Progresso's defense didn't have a chance, in the 18th minute, when Lun Luna scored to the left of an out of position Siro Venceslao, making the score, 2-0. In the 27thth minute of the game Lun Luna who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Progresso's Siro Venceslao was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Howling Dawn U18's Hernan Azibar got a free kick in the 35th minute. In the 36th minute of the match Ismael Ixona shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Enzo Shantala showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Progresso's goalkeeper Siro Venceslao, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 39th minute, Howling Dawn U18's Lun Luna ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Siro Venceslao. Siro Venceslao yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. After a rather tough play, Howling Dawn U18's Guaberto Gilesindo got a free kick in the 42nd minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gaston Ondino to make the kick off. Teofilo Oriol received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 50th minute. Siro Venceslao tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 53rd minute, Lun Luna ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Siro Venceslao was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. Siro Venceslao came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by Howling Dawn U18's Lun Luna. But to his dismay, Lun Luna quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. After 59 minutes, Mercurio Mercurio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Howling Dawn U18 and the Progresso players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Howling Dawn U18 getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Mercurio Mercurio hit a great ball. 60 minutes into the game, Howling Dawn U18's Lun Luna nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Siro Venceslao made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. After some careless play in the Progresso defense, Lun Luna kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Siro Venceslao. The Progresso fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Siro Venceslao should have stopped the shot. Siro Venceslao made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lun Luna in the 69th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Victoriano Olentzaro during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Victoriano Olentzaro hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. A collision led to Progresso getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Victoriano Olentzaro hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Howling Dawn U18's Guaberto Gilesindo got a free kick in the 79th minute. In the 84th minute, Baldomiro Jerrald left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Howling Dawn U18 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 8-0. Siro Venceslao didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Baldomiro Jerrald went, in the 92nd minute, to the upper right corner, 9-0 was the resulting score. Progresso's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
