The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Orlando Iratzeder made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mars Marte in the 4th minute of play. The referee felt a red card was in order, 7 minutes into the game, when Evaristo Unai put in a rough tackle. A collision led to Soda Stereo FC Unplugged getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Evaristo Unai hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Soda Stereo FC Unplugged's zone, Mars Marte stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Orlando Iratzeder came out of the goal and Mars Marte tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mercurio Mercurio during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 14th match minute, Howling Dawn U18 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mercurio Mercurio to maneuver through the defense. In the 16th minute Mercurio Mercurio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Orlando Iratzeder saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Orlando Iratzeder made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lun Luna in the 24th minute of play. Orlando Iratzeder showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lun Luna in the 26th minute of the match. During the 30th minute of the match Mercurio Mercurio completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Mercurio Mercurio a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. A collision led to Howling Dawn U18 getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Mercurio Mercurio hit a great ball. Santiago Romano came free with the goalkeeper in the 32nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Enzo Shantala could save by the left post. The audience was convinced that Lun Luna's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Orlando Iratzeder was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. Soda Stereo FC Unplugged's Orlando Iratzeder played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lun Luna in the 40th minute of play. In the 42nd match minute, Soda Stereo FC Unplugged was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jacobo Astrada to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Soda Stereo FC Unplugged booed when Howling Dawn U18 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aristides Egoitz didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Howling Dawn U18's Segundo Gotzon got a free kick in the 45th minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Santiago Romano was the one to do the kick off. Lun Luna hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Camilo Sanchez during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 62nd match minute, Howling Dawn U18 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Camilo Sanchez to maneuver through the defense. Delmiro Lleir's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Enzo Shantala read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. In the 66th minute, Howling Dawn U18's Lun Luna dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-1. Teofilo Oriol received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Orlando Iratzeder tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 81 minutes, Santiago Romano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Soda Stereo FC Unplugged's supporters crossed their fingers, but Santiago Romano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jacobo Astrada kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Santiago Romano in the 87th minute of play forced Howling Dawn U18's goalkeeper Enzo Shantala to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Santiago Romano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Enzo Shantala having to interfere. Howling Dawn U18 were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Soda Stereo FC Unplugged's much stronger midfield.
