To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Enzo Baumar struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Aristides Bernat didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sumamao. After a defensive mix-up in Sumamao's zone, Erubiel Dubardo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benedicto Ramos came out of the goal and Erubiel Dubardo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 23 minutes into the match, Sumamao's goal looked a bit too open when Erubiel Dubardo came free, but Benedicto Ramos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nicasio Dino hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. When Enzo Baumar fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sumamao's protests and gave Enzo Baumar a yellow card for diving instead. Enzo Baumar hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Azzurro's Aristides Bernat played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Natalio Cristofor in the 31st minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eliseo Victoro was the one to do the kick off. Natalio Cristofor's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aristides Bernat read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 51st minute of play. Enzo Baumar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aristides Bernat having to interfere. Aristides Bernat made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sergio Sasoin in the 62nd minute of play. In the 62nd minute, Melchor Su hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience cheered loudly when Erubiel Dubardo's long shot in the 63rd minute became 2-1 when the ball went to the left of and passed Benedicto Ramos. Eliseo Victoro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Benedicto Ramos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Natalio Cristofor kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Erubiel Dubardo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benedicto Ramos having to interfere.
