With a little luck, Gallinas fc's Fabio Liher got control of the ball when Eliseo Victoro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Azzurro's Aristides Bernat played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vladimiro Oro in the 10th minute of play. Aristides Bernat showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aldo Farias in the 12th minute of the match. Cirilo Silvino took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 18th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Aristides Bernat. Azzurro's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 20 minutes into the match, Aldo Farias notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Azzurro's Aristides Bernat. Aristides Bernat was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teodosio Rodas in the 25th minute of play forced Azzurro's goalkeeper Aristides Bernat to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Delmar James kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. 28 minutes into the game, Teodosio Rodas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gallinas fc's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Azzurro the free kick. In the 32nd minute, Eliseo Victoro fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Fabio Liher, passed just outside the right post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Erubiel Dubardo in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fabio Liher saved Gallinas fc from getting behind. Eliseo Victoro took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fabio Liher. Fabio Liher dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eliseo Victoro got free with Fabio Liher in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Zeledon Aimar to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, Azzurro's Eliseo Victoro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fabio Liher made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. If Teodosio Rodas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fabio Liher made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Delmiro Orlondo in the 58th minute of play. In the 60th minute, Erubiel Dubardo made a precise shot to the right of Fabio Liher. Gallinas fc's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. After having played for 64 minutes, Zeledon Aimar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gallinas fc's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zeledon Aimar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Aristides Bernat took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aldo Farias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cecilio Flor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Azzurro made a substitution. Ciro Leguizamón replaced Tadeo Papo. In the 72nd minute Delmiro Orlondo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabio Liher saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Azzurro's Rodrigo Chaime was substituted for Eliseo Victoro. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodrigo Chaime in the 86th minute of play forced Gallinas fc's goalkeeper Fabio Liher to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fabio Liher stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rodrigo Chaime's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. Fabio Liher didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Erubiel Dubardo went, in the 92nd minute, to the upper right corner, 5-1 was the resulting score.
