Gavino Dorio was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Codrin Achifoaiei. After a rather tough play, UltraMillonarios's Franko Baresi got a free kick in the 39th minute. 45 minutes into the game, UltraMillonarios's Everardo Gaizkine nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gavino Dorio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when Feliciano Ibañez made the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Everardo Gaizkine in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gavino Dorio saved C. A. DEPORTIVO NAHUEL from getting behind. Gavino Dorio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rey Maradona in the 57th minute of the match. 59 minutes into the match, UltraMillonarios's Everardo Gaizkine sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gavino Dorio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Codrin Achifoaiei might have been able to make a better finish in the 63rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gavino Dorio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Codrin Achifoaiei ran back to his position shaking his head. Octavio Fidencio charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. UltraMillonarios's Mario Txindoki played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Feliciano Ibañez in the 67th minute of play. Rey Maradona blasted a shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gavino Dorio having to make a save. In the 74th minute, Everardo Gaizkine got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 76 minutes, Everardo Gaizkine managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. UltraMillonarios's supporters crossed their fingers, but Everardo Gaizkine was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Feliciano Ibañez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Everardo Gaizkine recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of UltraMillonarios booed when C. A. DEPORTIVO NAHUEL was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Humberto Gizon didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 83rd match minute, C. A. DEPORTIVO NAHUEL was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Humberto Gizon to maneuver through the defense. C. A.
