The audience was convinced that 邵斌鹏's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Clodoveo Ihintza was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. Flavio Blas Zanelli's Rosendo Lluques got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bernardino Perpinya recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Clodoveo Ihintza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernardino Perpinya, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Flavio Blas Zanelli's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Froilan Chano in the 19th minute. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind CA River Plate's goalkeeper Clodoveo Ihintza, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Froilan Chano came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Flavio Blas Zanelli fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Froilan Chano couldn't finish the play. If 邵斌鹏 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Froilan Chano might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Clodoveo Ihintza. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Froilan Chano ran back to his position shaking his head. Flavio Blas Zanelli's Froilan Chano managed to work through CA River Plate's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Froilan Chano dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. After some careless play in the CA River Plate defense, 邵斌鹏 kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Clodoveo Ihintza. The CA River Plate fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Clodoveo Ihintza should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Niceto Maldonado in the 39th minute of play forced CA River Plate's goalkeeper Clodoveo Ihintza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Clodoveo Ihintza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernardino Perpinya in the 40th minute of the match. 43 minutes into the match, Flavio Blas Zanelli's Niceto Maldonado sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Clodoveo Ihintza narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Niceto Maldonado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Clodoveo Ihintza having to interfere. The supporters of Flavio Blas Zanelli booed when CA River Plate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gaspar Ayala didn't get a good kick on the ball. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Valerio Verdeces stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 56 minutes of play, Flavio Blas Zanelli's Froilan Chano made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Clodoveo Ihintza was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 65th minute, Flavio Blas Zanelli's Froilan Chano ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Clodoveo Ihintza. Clodoveo Ihintza yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-5. 68 minutes into the game, Froilan Chano cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-6. Clodoveo Ihintza was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 76 minutes into the game, Froilan Chano recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Clodoveo Ihintza. Froilan Chano showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-8. In the 80th match minute, CA River Plate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gaspar Ayala to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, 邵斌鹏 managed to get in a good position for a shot. Flavio Blas Zanelli's supporters rose to their feet, but 邵斌鹏 was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Clodoveo Ihintza breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 85th minute Bernardino Perpinya shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clodoveo Ihintza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 87th minute of the match, Froilan Chano tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Clodoveo Ihintza saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Clodoveo Ihintza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Froilan Chano in the 91st minute of the match. In the 92nd minute, Bernardino Perpinya got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in CA River Plate's zone, Bernardino Perpinya stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Clodoveo Ihintza came out of the goal and Bernardino Perpinya tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, CA River Plate's Clodoveo Ihintza got control of the ball when Froilan Chano tried to sneak it across the goal line. The CA River Plate fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Flavio Blas Zanelli were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
