If Fabio Laurgain had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Albano Txeru came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by Ostendi's Eliseo Elia. But to his dismay, Eliseo Elia quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. After some careless play in the La Toronja Carpintera defense, Eliseo Elia kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Albano Txeru. The La Toronja Carpintera fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Albano Txeru should have stopped the shot. Ladislao Brais's late challenge caught a Ostendi's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ladislao Brais helped the player get up and apologised. Fabio Laurgain struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Albano Txeru didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ostendi. Silvestre Giro hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. In the 49th minute, Fabio Laurgain left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ostendi fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-7. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-7.

Ostendi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Santiago Solari was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Eliseo Elia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albano Txeru having to interfere. La Toronja Carpintera's Albano Txeru proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 99th minute of the match, managed to save La Toronja Carpintera from getting a goal against them. When the final whistle sounded Ostendi left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than La Toronja Carpintera.
