In the 6th minute Cipriano Edwardo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zacarias Arotza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arsenio Etxatxu kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Gaston Chuan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antonio Lidon in the 27th minute of play. Antonio Lidon took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gaston Chuan. Gaston Chuan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Zacarias Arotza made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Rodolfo Leheren sent off a good shot on target. Lanus's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Kristen Kronstad in the 39th minute. After taking down the ball on Lanus's corner Rodolfo Leheren fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Zacarias Arotza quite easily take care of the ball. The audience was convinced that Rodolfo Leheren's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Zacarias Arotza was relentless in the 40th minute of the game. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Aaron Odilon to strike the kick off in the second half. Fermin Mergildo scored 2-1 in the 57th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Zacarias Arotza, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Cipriano Edwardo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zacarias Arotza having to interfere. In the 66th minute Fermin Mergildo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zacarias Arotza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zacarias Arotza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodolfo Leheren in the 72nd minute of play. Zacarias Arotza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cipriano Edwardo in the 74th minute of the match. Rodolfo Leheren struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Zacarias Arotza didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lanus. Gaston Chuan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aaron Odilon's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. Tomás Malbec's late challenge caught a Arroyo Dulce's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tomás Malbec helped the player get up and apologised. 90 minutes into the match, Lanus's goal looked a bit too open when Aaron Odilon came free, but Gaston Chuan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zacarias Arotza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodolfo Leheren in the 96th minute of the match. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Lanus fully deserved thier win.
